Pete Nash is a 2015 recipient who we assisted with specialty coffee roasting training. He is the head roaster of Ki Coffee and in November 2022 won 3 international roasting awards to add to the past 9 awards. Ki coffee roasters also won the prestigious Kangaroo Island 2022 business leadership and innovation award – congratulations Pete.

KI Coffee supply bulk coffee for in-house use in cafes, retailers, accommodation locations, even a local book shop along with wholesale and retail packs. They access their beans from a carbon neutral supplier to help the green Kangaroo Island footprint. Visitors to KI can experience “the art and science of coffee” where you go from bean to cupping process, or a “coffee and chocolate pairing” session, both of which are very popular experiences on the island. Ki coffee roasters are paired with sideroads coffee with pour over and dippy bags that have hit the international market and growing. Plans for additional products eg chocolate covered coffee beans and chocolate bars and location expansion are in the pipeline.
