Having recently completed a Certificate III Hospitality (Patisserie) Shanna has discovered a passion for all things patisserie. She would like to further her knowledge and skills and will use her funding to complete a Certificate IV Patisserie and attend two Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School classes.

Lisa and her partner had a dream of having their own coffee shop gallery and have now opened Chocol Art & Coffee in Kingscote on Kangaroo Island. Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School chocolates and pralines training along with a course on Showpieces will give Lisa the skills and knowledge to continue her journey and produce quality products utilising local ingredients. Simon Dunstone Simon Dunstone

A passion for craft beer has led to a change of occupation for Simon when he and his partner purchased the Myponga Brewery in late 2012. The brewery has been renamed Smiling Samoyed Brewery after their three samoyed dogs who are resident at the brewery. Simon and Kate are excited to bring a range of new craft beers to the South Australian public and to increase the process of hand crafted beers within South Australia through their cellar door. They are passionate and professional about their craft and Simon will use his funds to complete a Graduate Certificate of Brewing at University of Ballarat.

Sally George Sally George

As a Cheesemaker on Kangaroo Island, Sally absolutely loves her job. She has already started making new styles of cheese with the entire range of cheeses and yoghurt made from sheeps milk. Her funding will be used to tavel to Artisan Cheese Making Academy Australia and complete a Certificate III Food Processing (Cheese). The sheep dairy industry is small in Australia and she would like to have the knowledge to help make it grow.

Stephen Heading Stephen Heading

Stephen plans to set up a small food processing business producing a healthy food ingredient for Australian food producers. His funds are to be used for training in food dehydration techniques with a focus on freeze drying and training in dietary fibre production and packaging.

 

Rohan Moss Rohan Moss

Having always been interested in food production Rohan has a trade in butchery and would like to develop his Cheesemaking skills. Completing a Certificate III in Food Processing at Artisan Cheese Making Academy Australia will give him the extra skills to be able to produce locally made cheese and smallgoods.

Ian has been in the chocolate industry for almost 2 years since purchasing Cottage Box Chocolates in 2011. He would like to create more modern techniques and will use his funding to attend various courses at Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in Melbourne.
